今週は東京でQUADが開催され日米豪印の首脳が集結しました。
バイデンは台湾-中国問題をウクライナ-ロシア問題になぞらえて発言し、中国の反発を買いました。
バイデンが東京を発った後、北朝鮮はミサイルを発射しました。ミサイル発射のニュースに慣れてしまい怖いという感情は特に感じなくなってしまいました。これも北朝鮮の狙いの一つでしょうか。ところで、日本列島をミサイル攻撃できる軍備を持つ国はどこなのでしょう。北朝鮮、ロシア、中国はミサイルを日本に撃ち込めるとされています。
ブッカー国際賞はインド人作家・シュリーにもたらされました。日本の川上未映子『ヘブン』は受賞を逃しました。日本では川上未映子受賞逃すのほうがニュースとして取り上げられています。この報道姿勢に対して一部では受賞者への敬意が見られないと批判がなされています。ニュースバリューの問題で致し方ない面もありますが。
今月は米国で2件の18歳犯人による銃撃事件が起きました。今週起きたのがテキサス州ユヴァルディの小学校銃撃事件です。銃撃に対して武装で防衛するという現在の米国は、囚人のジレンマにおける裏切りと裏切りの状態です。協調と協調の状態が訪れることを願います。銃ロビー団体との対立を乗り越えて銃規制を進めるためには何ができるのでしょうか。
日本が海外旅行客の受け入れを6月10日に再開するというニュースもBBCニュースに取り上げられました。ただし最初は団体旅行客に限るとのことです。観光スポットが外国人・日本人観光客であふれる前の空いている時期は終わりを迎えそうです。
ロシアとウクライナの戦争は侵攻開始から3か月経った今も依然として続いています。出口はどこにあるのでしょう。
